RESEARCH INTERESTS:

I am interested in user interfaces in general, especially for computer graphics (CG). My research objective is to propose interactive techniques, by which the users can produce desired multimedia contents quickly and easily. I am studying algorithms of CG, computer vision, user interface design, etc. My debut work was a sketch-based three-dimensional (3D) modeling system for botanical trees (presented at Eurographics 2005). I worked at Microsoft Research Asia as an internship student on user interface design for lighting design of a single image (presented at Pacific Graphics 2006) and also a 3D CG scene (presented at Pacific Graphics 2007). Recently, I am interested in animation synthesis based on video analysis. I worked at Max Planck Institute for Informatics on animating a single picture of fluids using video examples (presented at Eurographics 2009). I worked at the University of Electro-Communications on fluid volume modeling from a single video (presented at SIGGRAPH 2015).
